Brazil, aside from becoming a household name for its awesome beaches and an economic superpower, is fast becoming a huge cultural exporter too. Lately, music coming out of this gigantic country has been of great quality. Last time we covered Criolo (check the playlists for his tracks) and his favela inspired hip-hop, today it’s time we gave the indie scene some deserved attention. I introduce São Paulo based trio, Turtle Giant with “We Were Kids” and its truly addictive surf-rock vibe, pop induced rhythm as well as some brilliant sing-a-long vocals to top things off nicely.
