Dark Light

South Africa is where 21-year old Yannick Iluga or Petite Noir calls home. He came up our radar as we were browsing for new talent over at HumanHuman (also a newbie over there) and his deep sounding voice, mixed with some kind of post-punk-chillwave sound and a hint of synths here and there just struck our mind. We went on and discovered something quite special in the name of “Till We Ghosts”. He got some heavy duty support from Questlove, A-Trak, Paul Epworth aaaand a Best New Track feature from Pitchfork. Goes without saying, you need to keep this young man on a close watch  :

This track was released as a single on Bad Life records this past August, however word of a full album has yet to be published. We’re longing for more… In the meantime, do follow him on his social profiles and download the killer remix we have for you below :

Mokina x Carbeau – pom

With summer approaching fast, bursts of spring madness already showing its face through the heavy winter curtains, Mokina's x Carbeau's "pom" cuts through like a beautiful live picture from a tranquil sandy beach and atmospheric weather to complete the landscape. It's a soft approach to a new day. A Sunday morning vibe, if you will.
