Happy new year ! We’re back and we’ll kick off this fantastic year 2014 with a Parisian Duo that has been around since late 2012 and have already released a few EPs in the past : we introduce you to Noire. Band members Gautier Fage and Quentin Lagrange have just released their second EP called “Escape” as a free download on the 23rd of December 2013.
Gautier might ring a bell for our loyal readers as he made our Camels & Lions Top 5 tracks just a few days ago. And his track “Miss You” was one of our most played track last year in our iTunes :
The Escape EP take a giant leap forward, compared to their previous material. There is plenty of soul, R&B, pop and talking to Gautier just before publishing this article, he attributes the inspiration for this EP as a trip through space “a la Gravity” after watching countless space documentaries with friend and 2nd band member Quentin.
It’s definitely a weightless atmospheric environment, that could easily recall part of Employee Of The Year‘s classic sound called ‘Slow French’.
Hangover sufferers will thank us. It’s the perfect cure, nothing to aggressive, just the perfect amount of awesomeness to get by that dreadful, uneventful 1st of January everyone hates…
