Dark Light

Three is a magic number for musicians today. The audio synthesis of stringed instrument, synth and vocals is on the rise with bands/artists like BASECAMP, SHURA, Matt Woods, etc. Enter WNWD (pronounced Wynwood) an elusive band, who fit right into this smokey category of whispered tunes. Their faceless image is reminiscent of SBTRKT‘s masked appearance (they also have a stunning cover of “Hold On”) but their musicality holds its on. WNWD‘s “Cruise” is a smooth track that fuses emotive vocals, guitar rifts, synth beats into a bittersweet release.

Ever needed to take an hour or a day away from the weight of the world? WNWD‘s   “Cruise” articulates that jaded perspective in 3 blissful minutes with a light at the end of the tunnel. Listen to the marvelous track below.
