This collection of tracks was initiated by Sabby, Editor of the longest running French fansite for the White Stripes owned by Sodwee. Created in early 2004, the website has been around ever since, under a few names already. But it seems we’ve stuck to whitestripes.fr for now. The fansite is coupled with a message board and a dedicated army of fans from around France, and other french speaking countries from around the world.
The entire album was conceived over the internet (from cover to music), with band members, guitar players, singers, organ and even Glockenspiel players that have and still haven’t met in person. Distance, funds and day to day life getting in the way. Although we have known each other for quite some time now, sometimes even met during your concerts. This was probably the most difficult task of all. Getting everyone to complete their assignments and send the finish product to us in order to compile this collection. After many heated debates (over the message board) and some healthy decision making we finally put together this album in honor of The White Stripes and their sprawling career.
