Dark Light

The Japanese House release her third taste of the widely acclaimed debut EP “Pools To Bathe In”, it’s named “Teeth”. The track comes after two other defiantly good shots at beautifully melancholic soundscapes.  The up and coming talent is only 19 years of age too. Giving just an idea of how things have turned these days. Talented spawns jumping into the great pond is less of a rare occurrence these days it seems. It’s certainly the case with The Japanese House.

‘Teeth’ is upbeat, with brooding warm vocals interspersed by sparks of guitar that are blended/crafted in perfectly around the quality production giving the ethereal sounds and vivid images delivered by the track another life. Almost continuing even when the song ends. Amber Bain is London-based and forms The Japanese House with George Daniel & Matthew Healy. They will surely make themselves a nice little spot on your CD/vinyl rack this summer.

It’s apparently considered alt-pop but we all agree here, it’s something a little more than just alt-pop. Something with far more depth and music that could appeal to a whole wider audience. Lick, Love and like them on their social profiles…

“Pools To Bathe In” due April 27th (pre-order on iTunes) via Dirty Hit.
