[dropcap letter=”T”]oronto-based musician Mormor (Seth Nyquist) is like a low-key Baths and RY X sunrise. A little dig into Mormor‘s past brings up photos of minimalistic atmospheres, all black and white images down to the last pixel. It’s nothing but perfect to setting up his first track “Live for Nothing.” Alongside his crooning lyrics, the instrumentals pace steadily and visual imagery come easily, a testament to his singer-songwriter abilities. It’s a raw tune that strips relationships back down to emotional fundamentals, giving so much reason to do everything and nothing at all. As existential as “Living for Nothing” sounds, keep an eye on Mormor because this first song sounds anything but unplanned. Be sure to download the track on his Soundcloud.
