High expectations are bound to follow when you start with a song as addictive as “Do You Go Up.” We wrote about KHAI in September when his first release had us redefining how we wanted to spend our mornings (basically just listening to him only song). After teasing his collaboration with CYN on Twitter, KHAI‘s EP “If You” also simultaneously got premiered by Nest HQ, treating everyone to 5 tracks of replay gold.
Whether’s his emotive vocals or the atmosphere of solitude that his songs evoke, “If You” is an incredible EP. Identifiably KHAI. From a futuristic take in “In Void” to the more chill-step song with the title track “If You,” each track highlights KHAI‘s ability to take diverse inspirations and meld them into one individualistic sound. Kind of like a gold trophy for being the jack of all trades. Check out the EP in its entirety below. A personal favorites on this EP (and it will be as well for all the music and video game fanatics out there) is the Zelda easter egg mixed into “Take,” a sweet song ft. Chicago-based vocalist CYN.
