The funky alt-soul single is like a cross between semi-electronic groups Milky Chance and Glass Animals, with an even groovier synth beat and an undeniable flow. via The Deli (NYC)

With its pulsating bassline and euphoric chorus, Calm of the Sea goes a long way in crafting its own journey, abiding by no rule as it raises you to dizzying futuristic heights. “It’s a snapshot of where I am in my life.” explains SHOR, “I went into the studio feeling frustrated about something in my personal life and felt so inspired lyrically, it just clicked straight away; Joe Kearns (Calm Of The Sea producer) and I got the whole track down in a day!”. via Scientists Of Sound

There’s something subtly captivating about the piano chords that kick off Belgian rapper Josly Meso‘s “Better Off Alone” – a sense of calm tinged with something deeper. That same sense underlies the rest of the track, and Josly’s overall style. He’s not the most energetic rapper; but, while the song might only having you nodding your head as far as any onlooker is concerned, it has a contagiously introspective vibe that you’re bound to catch.
