Dark Light

Friday’s are usually blessed with album releases. But today, it’s the second single titled “Pure Gold” from up and coming self-produced London-based songstress: Marna. She had already impressed us with the first offering “Crossfire” but didn’t manage to get round to cover the blossoming talent. Alas, today, we’re on in the game and Introducing Marna.

“Pure Gold taunts with rejection and flipping it to hit harder. Owning somebody else’s decision and turning things around to your own advantage. Built around JKP’s soaring synths and layered mind-blowingly with her upper-class vocals. “Pure Gold” is definitely a high-value production effort.

We’ve named the track “Pure Gold”: Best New Music…

Born in London, into a creatively prolific family of actors and dancers. Marna followed through with the tradition and experimented with self-produced projects that drew influence from the likes of Alice Glass and James Blake before losing interest in her songwriting. She met producer JKP who helped turn things around to where we see them now. With “Crossfire” and “Pure Gold” already instant classics we genuinely believe the gal has a bright future in what she undertakes.
