Dark Light

All the way from the Netherlands, Dutch artist Someone aka Tessa Rose Jackson unveils delicate new single “Forget Forgive” for us to delve on our cold wintery nights which are in full swing at the moment if you happen to be in the Northern hemisphere. Just like in Paris right now, where it’s bleeding cold. Seriously cold.

Out via [Pias] Holland on November 15th, the single “Forget Forgive” will surprise you with its mature lyrics and vocal delivery. A long shot away from the previous happier/cuter self Tessa Rose Jackson used to boast. That’s behind her now. Having grown artistically in the meanwhile, Someone now rocks her alter-ego into the depths of pop and the joys of freedom in creativity.

Someone aka Tessa Rose Jackson explains a little of the new single:

Playing the song to other people actually always feels a bit icky. It’s like reading an excerpt from my diary out in public. It’s super naked, about battling some pretty nasty demons and, in overcoming them, figuring out the kind of person you want to be. I wrote and recorded it all in one night (between the hours of 11PM and 4AM). Some songs take ages to fine-tune and hone, but this one felt like I was just solidifying a strain of thought that had been flowing around inside my head for ages.”

With the task of writing here second album and to get away from the poppy, happier debut she once was. Tessa Rose Jackson felt it was time to move on and put forward a wiser, older and more interesting self into the creative process. Portrayed brilliantly as a coming-of-age in her track “Forget Forgive” which you can listen below:

Forget Forgive is out via [PIAS] Holland on 15th November.
