Dark Light

With a forthcoming album titled “- Ugh, those feels again”, Iranian-Swedish singer and songwriter Snoh Aalegra confirms her unstoppable rise to stardom and satisfies our growing interest in her lyrical prowess as well as her unique voice that will get your head spinning in awe! The late legend Prince went as far as mentoring the young singer until his passing. She was also very much inspired by artists such as Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston and Aretha Franklin to name a few. Influenced by her own life experiences, Snoh Aalegra unfolds her vocal abilities like a shy little kid that just met a new person and instantly connects. If you heard “YOU” (listen below) you’ll immediately get my point. She distills a little spark on the first pass, but then unleashes the heavens to whoever wants to soak up the storm. It is undeniably impressive, charismatic and well balanced. The perfect recipe if you’d ask my opinion.

Snoh Aalegra reiterates with her brand new single “Situationship” she just released from the upcoming album “- Ugh, those feels again” due out on August 16th via Kobalt. An equally sumptuous vocal journey, a pristine storytelling paired with the genius production skills of NO ID make her career one to look very closely over the summer with the release of her debut album and the subsequent touring that will occur in the fall, with dates announced in Paris. Subscribe today to our Giveaways Alert (with form below or clicking here) as we might or might not be in the process of securing a pair of coveted tickets for her live show at the Gaîté Lyrique in Paris… More on that later, in the meantime, take a second to sub to our irregular and very sporadic email alert on gigs you must not miss in Paris:

Snoh Aalegra was born in 1987 in Sweden to Iranian parents before settling down in Los Angeles to pursue her music career. Dubbed ‘Cinematic Soul’, the output is rather compelling and will definitely please your listening experience if you’re into electronic R&B, slow-jams and silky smooth vocal performance.

For Fans Of (#FFO) : Whitney Houston in the lower octaves, some hint of Mariah Carey and Prince also thrown in to the mix.
