It’s always fascinating to follow-up on artists we had introduced way back when<\/a> they had even or on the brink of glory. It’s the case with FKA Twigs<\/strong>. Formaly known in London as a ‘Twigs’ only, she came to many blogger’s attention by producing some really awesome standalone videos<\/a>. Often either directing, writting or producing them herself. Many of them are still viewable on her official Youtube account.<\/p>\n

However it’s with her upcoming debut album named ‘LP1’ that we’d like to make up a well overdue follow-up post and to catch up on what the miss has been up to lately. She embarked on a string of dates including one in Paris at Carreau du Temple. A date to be remembered, and dubbed by attendees as one very sensual, elaborate, yet simplistic approach to your otherwise common and usual live performance. Lucky few there were\u00a0blown away.<\/p>\n

In our own words, we knew back then she was destined for great things. Well turns out we, yet again weren’t wrong ! Eheh. Now signed with London based Young Turks (alongside Jamie XX, Sampha, Koreless, The XX, SBTRKT and many other immensely talented acts) the young girl is taking the world by storm. And a testament to her success and hard work, we invite you to check out the latest video for “Two Weeks” directed by Nabil Elderkin who portrays multiple Twigs in a cleverly edited video portraying her as Cleopatra (watch above).<\/p>\n

Her debut album ‘LP1<\/strong>‘ is released in all formats<\/a>, digital and physical on August 11th 2014<\/strong> via Young Turks<\/a> and the tracklist is as follows :<\/p>\n
