Hey Hey Sodweerati ! Meet Cl\u00e9a Vincent,<\/strong>\u00a0another tip for another budding new up-and-comer on the French scene. Cl\u00e9a Vincent<\/strong> manages to dust off much of the typical french awkwardness pertaining to her nationality and\u00a0brings some real effortless, easy-listening electro-pop to the table. We\u2019ve had her vinyl single for over a week now and been toying with the fact to write something about her music or not. Well turns out her music has actually grown on us a lot more than predicted. Recently signed to Parisian label Midnight Special Records<\/em><\/a>\u00a0we felt we had to do something for this rather new and talented artist.<\/p>\n

\"Cl\u00e9a<\/a>Cl\u00e9a Vincent<\/strong> is a young Paris-born multi-instrumentalist with that unmistakable \u201cgo-getter\u201d attitude. She\u2019s got the electronic approach to her music like anyone who grew up\u00a0towards the end of the 90\u2019s and well into the millenium. Without forgetting where she comes from, pulling influences from the French\u00a060\u2019s\u00a0cultural movements and the classic tracks of that time, it is clear to us that she has found some sort of niche within the French\/Parisian scene.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s lighthearted, fresh\u00a0and\u00a0desperately pop in every possible way.\u00a0At times bubbling with inspired Fran\u00e7oise Hardy or even France Gall<\/em>\u00a0phases in the vocal flow. In short : Quintessentially french but so widely\u00a0open at the same time that it would be a crime not to play our favorite track as of today : \u201cRetiens Mon D\u00e9sir\u201d. She also covers swedish pop group Ace Of Base<\/em> and their biggest hit single \u201cAll That She Wants\u201d. That was back in March when she released her first EP \u201cNon Mais Oui\u201d.<\/p>\n

She\u2019s about to release her follow-up EP \u201cNon Mais Oui 2\u201d on October 20th 2014<\/strong>. She dropped \u201cChateau Perdu\u201d with a brilliant video to illustrate. You can see her perform some fancy footwork as a shy dancefloor queen :<\/p>\n
