{"id":22453,"date":"2015-03-30T18:38:49","date_gmt":"2015-03-30T16:38:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sodwee.com\/blog\/?p=22453"},"modified":"2026-04-16T12:33:17","modified_gmt":"2026-04-16T10:33:17","slug":"introducing-satellite-jockey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sodwee.com\/blog\/2015\/03\/introducing-satellite-jockey\/","title":{"rendered":"Introducing : Satellite Jockey"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Satellite Jockey<\/strong> is a band from Lyon and they&#8217;ve just released their\u00a0new album &#8220;Falling<em>&#8221;\u00a0<\/em>today\u00a0on four different record labels : <em>AB Records<\/em>, <em>Another Records<\/em>, <em>Kidderminster Records<\/em> and <em>Montagne Sacr\u00e9e<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The sound dripping out of\u00a0the record is powerful, and quite an awaken dream across the nineties and the sixties, coloured by a beloved psychadelism. \u00a0The track &#8220;<em>Turning Into You&#8221;<\/em> can sooth and be taken as a prescription for any condition at anytime because it&#8217;s simply a\u00a0little masterpiece. Sounding sometimes like\u00a0<em>MGMT<\/em> or <em>Tame Impala<\/em>, which seems to be a great influence on &#8220;<em>Falling<\/em>&#8220;<em>.<\/em> The unbelievable feeling of &#8220;falling&#8221; all along the album is as real as it sounds, but the melancholic fall is soft and seems to be never ending, until the last chord of, what I would call, a successful album made of perfect crystalline voices, psyched synths and deep-rooted well crafted guitars lines.
