I arrive at Caf\u00e9 Vestergade<\/em> in Liss<\/strong>\u2019 home city of Aarhus, which is buzzing thanks to\u00a0Spot Festival<\/em>, ten minutes ahead of our 1pm meeting time. Jonas, my friend\/photographer for the day is with me. Planning on filming, we ask a girl seated by the window if she\u2019d mind moving – she turns out to be Agnete<\/em>, part of the band\u2019s management from Escho<\/a>, Copenhagen.<\/p>\n

Lead singer, S\u00f8ren<\/em> is the first to arrive and I order him an orange juice. Villads<\/em>, the bassist, arrives shortly after, iPhone in hand: \u2018I’ve got to know Ariana Grande a bit too well on Snapchat; now I don’t really like her anymore\u2019, he\u00a0says. We find out that the boys know Jonas\u2019 cousin (Aarhus is small), and we chat about Soundvenue\u2019s description of them as \u2018Danmarks nye superstjerne\u2019 (Denmark\u2019s new superstars\u2019) in an article published a few hours earlier.<\/p>\n
