We had covered Flint Eastwood<\/strong> right from the beginning of her debut release<\/a> and EP ‘Small Victories’ back in October last year. And already then, we thought of her music to be “very promising”. Today the Detroit based artist has signed with Neon Gold<\/em> records (once home to people like Tove Lo, Haerts, Icona Pop, and many, many more…) and releases a brand new record called ‘Queen’ to the masses. An Empowering anthem ahead of Trump’s inauguration and ahead of the Women’s Marches across the United States. Flint Eastwood is Jax Anderson, here’s what she had to say about the track :<\/p>\n

Queen was written about the first time I was asked what it was like being a woman in music. I’ve always been the boss of my art– I write my own songs, I play shows, I design a lot of my own graphics, make my own videos, craft my own photos, and I hustle alongside an amazing group of people just like every artist does. I had never considered myself different for being a woman. I have always set the standard with my team that I am the boss, regardless of my gender identity.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The track was created and recorded entirely\u00a0at Assemble Sound<\/a>, an 1870’s church converted\u00a0into a recording studio\u00a0and creative hub for musicians cofounded by Anderson in 2015 :<\/p>\n
