However, this\u00a0latest effort by the North London newcomers is far from apocalyptic \u2013 it\u2019s actually quite uplifting, with a huge sound incorporating\u00a0everything from saxophones to\u00a0drum machines, and drawing on varied influences\u00a0like<strong> FKA Twigs<\/strong>, <strong>Bjork<\/strong>, and <strong>Massive Attack.<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>I close my eyes sometimes, sometimes I see<\/em><br \/>\n<em>The end of the Earth<\/em><br \/>\n<em>And some place we could meet<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The eclecticism of\u00a0<strong>Blinding\u2019s\u00a0<\/strong>influences adds a noticeable depth to the music, making it hard to label as any one style, while\u00a0giving\u00a0a dose\u00a0of mainstream pop-appeal just strong enough to add a nice measure of catchiness, without sacrificing any profundity. Vocally, \u201cEnd Of The Earth\u201d is a triumph, with a performance that spans an enormous range of raspy lows and roaring highs, all of which drip emotion in a way that perfectly compliments the bittersweet themes underlying the lyrics. Above all, this is a song that\u2019s greater than the sum of it\u2019s parts, wherein a million little nuances bring about one uniquely endorphin-releasing experience.<\/p>\n<p>Having played live sets at both Glastonbury and Reading Festival in 2016,\u00a0<strong>Blinding<\/strong> is off to a strong start, and seem to have every intention of keeping up their momentum by releasing a full length album this year.
