But hey, everybody needs a good cry.<\/p>\n

\u201cWeight\u201d\u00a0is the antithesis to\u00a0the overly stark acoustic ballad \u2013 striking a tremendous balance between cold emptiness and vast lushness. For every chilly, lonesome verse vocal, there\u2019s a parallel moment of goose bump inducing choral harmony, all tied together by the woozy howl of a lap steel guitar. Lyrically,\u00a0Crywolf<\/strong> pours his heart out here, with a seemingly universal account of unrequited love that lies somewhere between bittersweet and devastating.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I truly fall for someone, I can\u2019t get them out of my heart for a decade\u201d, he writes in the song\u2019s YouTube description, \u201cSometimes I can almost physically feel the weight of every love I\u2019ve known, pressing down on my shoulders\u201d.<\/p>\n

We may only be in February, but \u201cWeight\u201d has every opportunity to end up gracing 2017\u2019s top tracks lists. If\u00a0Crywolf<\/strong> manages to reach these kinds of explorative heights across the entirety of his upcoming \u201cSkeletons\u201d EP; well, tissues may be in order.<\/p>\n
