It’s an exploration of transformation, built on the idea that validation comes from oneself rather than through external reinforcement. It’s a piece of potent pop which according to Axel himself floats ‘somewhere in the triangle of chill, funk, and fresh’.<\/span><\/p>\n

The new record is a strong 2017 opener for the Los Angeles-based artist, who is seeking to carve out a name for himself by producing emotion-driven alt-pop. It’s a busy party that he wants to join, but Axel is showing us that he has the chops to forge his own path.<\/p>\n
