‘Told Him’ is the new alt-pop bop from Lenis<\/strong>, a California based songstress. It’s her first full release, having performed a handful of features for fellow San Diegan Zuma.<\/a>\u00a0The emerging electronic producer is actually the man behind the buttons on ‘Told Him’.<\/p>\n

“The first version of the song only came out to about a minute and 30 seconds. It was sweet and simple but we decided to extend it to a full length song,”\u00a0<\/em>says Lenis<\/strong>. The resulting track is underlined by a brash hip-hop \/ future bass beat, with flecks of rhythmic synth work dancing in and out. However, Lenis<\/strong>‘ vocal shines and breaks through the production, her melodies punctuate the beat and flow effortlessly through the backing.<\/p>\n
