Multi Platinum selling artist\u00a0Martin Solveig<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>will make his first ever appearance on\u00a0Radio 1\u2019s Essential Mix<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0this weekend, in what is regarded by many as long overdue.<\/p>\n

The \u2018in-demand\u2019 super producer and \u2018headline maker\u2019 of recent weeks who brought us the global phenomenon that is \u2018Hello\u2019 has delivered a mix that is bang on perfect and packed full of surprises.<\/p>\n

Solveig, who is currently realising and touring the release of his latest studio offering \u2018Smash\u2019 around the world, and who is rumoured to be working with the A-Z of pop music\u2019s royalty, sums up the mix as follows:<\/p>\n

\u201cMaking the Essential Mix was the ultimate radio mix experience. It\u2019s the 1st<\/sup>time I\u2019ve been invited to do it and so I worked on it very carefully. I\u2019ve offered a few rarities, several of my own edits and a global selection of music that is in line with my current DJ set, because I think that\u2019s what people will expect. There is no theme as such; it\u2019s eclectic, like most of my sets. I\u2019m looking forward to sharing it with you this weekend<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n
