After two gloriously chaotic shows at London\u2019s Brixton Academy and a buzzy slot at Radio 1\u2019s Big Weekend, the Isle of Wight duo drop\u00a0\u201cCPR\u201d, the palpitation-inducing opener from their upcoming second album\u00a0moisturizer\u00a0(landing July 11th).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the surface, it\u2019s a love song. But as Rhian Teasdale asks\u00a0\u201cIs it love, or suicide?\u201d\u00a0over a sleazy, swaggering beat, it becomes clear: this ain\u2019t Wet Leg Does Barry Manilow. It\u2019s like peeking into a fever dream \u2014 or their group chat on shuffle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite Teasdale once declaring herself allergic to love songs,\u00a0moisturizer\u00a0is full of them \u2014 albeit twisted, tongue-in-cheek, and totally on brand. It\u2019s raunchier, louder, and bolder than their debut \u2014 like someone turned the Wet Leg dial to 11 and broke the knob off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alongside \u201cCPR\u201d, the band\u2019s also announced UK outstore dates (hello, Kingston\u2019s Pryzm), a European tour in October, and the brilliantly-named\u00a0moisTOURizer\u00a0\u2014 a 22-date North American run starting September 1st.
