Danny Brown is back with Stardust and it\u2019s already looking like a hyper-pop fever dream<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Strap in, buckle up, and maybe pre-order some earplugs while you\u2019re at it. The Detroit rap alien\/veteran\/mad scientist has been cooking something noisy, glitchy, and downright unhinged. And if you thought his JPEGMAFIA tag team (Scaring The Hoes, 2023) or the snarling introspection of Quaranta were wild rides, you haven\u2019t even seen him put on his glitter-cape yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since then, Brown has been bouncing around the hyperpop universe like a cracked-out pinball \u2014 collabing with Frost Children, Alice Longyu Gao, 8485, and even popping up with A.G. Cook at Coachella like some chaotic guest Pok\u00e9mon encounter. All roads, however, lead to his new LP, Stardust (out November). First taste? The lead single \u201cStarburst\u201d \u2014 a rave-thumper that sounds like a candy sugar rush detonating inside a blender, and we mean that in the best possible way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
