Dark Light

Et Musique Pour Tous couldn’t describe the feeling any better, instant hit in my books. See what they had to say about this brilliant cover version of Arcade Fire‘s opening track – The Suburbs – on their latest album of the same name :

Mr. Little Jeans – The Suburbs (Arcade Fire Cover) [audio:http://sodwee.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/The-Suburbs-Arcade-Fire-Cover.mp3]

“Someone you may have met once and had a split-second fling with? By a “split-second” fling I’m talking about a short lived one.  Maybe the two of you met on vacation somewhere in paradise and the fling lasted all but a week or two at best.  You came from opposite sides of the world yet your souls found one another throughout the sea of countless other souls and people throughout your travels.  You were instantly attracted to one another like nothing you ever experienced before then.  Some of their characteristics felt familiar even though you were almost positive that you did not know this soul at all.  Mr. Little Jeans – The Suburbs (Arcade Fire Cover) is just that to me.  It is a soul that I am familiar with yet I don’t seem to know at all.  The original by Arcade Fire has such a different soul than what Mr. Little Jeans did with this that it’s so hard for me to recognize, even when I know that it’s foundation has some of the same characteristics as the original.”
