Dark Light

From a goose farm via Paris (and back again), an unconventional path that led Betsy precisely where she needs to be, belting out love/heartbreak songs to the masses as she signs to Warner Brothers / Columbia Records and slots her debut self-titled EP “Fair” for release on March 18th (today in other words).

Betsy on track “Time” :

An addictive relationship with a new love. I was angry the day I wrote this, and in a ‘if you don’t treat me better, I’m off’ sort of mood.

The career trajectory for the Welsh gal is unconventional. Just last year she was living on her brother’s estate in a caravan. Whilst there, she went on to discover Garageband and started making songs. Trying to find an exit to the life she was leading in the fashion industry in Paris, also designing catwalks for Balenciaga. She wanted out, so she went for it. And returned to the Welsh countryside to pursue her own destiny. And oh boy did she find her own destiny.

Betsy has now signed a record deal with music powerhouses Warner & Columbia Records. Before that, however, she had a stint at the job by featuring her pristine, high-pitched voice on a Joe Goddard (Hot Chip) track. Time is the second offering from the ‘Fair’ EP, out today, and we cannot be as excited, listen instead :
