Dark Light

It shouldn’t come as a surprise, while every other blogs on the planet are busy and feverishly posting all kinds of listicles and TOP-this / TOP-that / TOP-whatevs. We, at sodwee.com, are actually taking a little welcome break and asking actual artists to take over our popular mixtape series. Last week Laora took command of the speeding aircraft with a flying blend of current favorites. Today, on the other end of the spectrum lies Birthday, a young twenty something with a new EP he just recently released called “Subtle Love”. He’s one of these young talented individuals that stand hard to go by without noticing. For their sound, voice or simple the genius they convey.

Well Birthday is one of those geniuses. He manages to capture the essence of each emotion, and serves it willy-nilly at the audience. Listen to the full EP on his Soundcloud profile, and get your kleenex paper out as the selection of tracks he currently digs and listens to is a pretty abysmal and well crafted mixtape. With highlights by the Radiohead, The Cure, King Krule and Aphex Twin to close the 30 minute tape (listen, share, like and repost at will, it means the world to us) :
