I was browsing the Soundcloud as you do when I stumble across this funky dash brilliant dash cross that and make that awesome Notorious B.I.G. mashup with what seemed an obscure soul & funk tune in the background. It’s Eddie Bo, born 1930. No wonder it seemed unknown to me. But none the less, that’s what I love when I discover new tunes. Edwin Joseph Bocage (“Eddie Bo”) (September 20, 1930 – March 18, 2009) was an American singer and New Orleans-stylepianist. Schooled in jazz, he was known for his blues, soul and funk recordings, compositions, productions and arrangements. He debuted on Ace Records in 1955 and released more single records than anyone else in New Orleans other than Fats Domino.
