Dark Light

After launching the F/SHE/S into the blogosphere and securing several high profile dates with rather large french festivals this summer. Omig, band manager, turns me onto Sauvage, his next little Parisian band he’s putting on the map these days. And this guy has the knack for finding true talent. Trust his taste and with my approval you can go ahead and listen / download to “Glory” below :

Sauvage – Glory : Sauvage – Glory

Two friends decide on impersonating young sorcerers. They’re fuelled by joyous flames inside their heads and are looking to sharing their force. Starts a journey into the never-ending world of percussions, guitars, synth and little chirpy birds.

After a couple of tracks posted on the internet along with a bunch of remixes (NZCA lines, Black Devil Disco Club and The Lanskies to name a few…), we find Sauvage back on label samplers and compilations such as “Seriously Eric”, “Kitsuné Parisien” and “Novorama”. In 2012, a drummer is added to the picture to give another birth to their productions. Infusing a little more color into their tracks, and prepare a kick arse live show while they’re at it.

Gum Parker – Two Subarus

Sonically, Gum Parker leans into the scrappy, jangly corners of indie rock—think ‘90s college radio meets early-2000s DIY basement shows. It’s loose but intentional, catchy but unpolished, with just enough punk bite to keep things unpredictable. Gritty, hooky, and made to be played loud. Listen to Two Subarus via Sodwee.com
