This inbox submission was a true, welcome Monday surprise. A singer/songwriter from the UK, named Plested and with a truly gobsmacking track called “Habits” off of his upcoming EP belts out an ode to the wrong kind of love. From lyrics to the vocal scope and slick, smooth and delicious arrangements Plested delivers and stellar track beyond any expectation. Having penned some tracks for no other than Emeli Sande and Zayn Malik (to name just two) it’s no wonder this up-and-coming musician will turn heads this year. If the tracks are this good in the future, I’m pretty sure we hold the next Sam Smith-esque aura out there.
This UK based Twenty-four year old started his career as part of duo Chasing Grace, before focusing solely on his solo project and writing songs for himself. The track “Habits” is the first single from his forthcoming EP due out this year.
Plested says about the track “Habits”:
You know that feeling you have when you know you shouldn’t be doing something? When you’re addicted but you shouldn’t be and you’re enjoying every moment of it. I guess, when you want something that’s bad for you. That’s what ‘Habits’ is. I write love songs and this is my messed up love song
Listen to “Habits” above, don’t miss out please. And do listen to his other demo (below) online “I O U”… And don’t forget to follow Plested for up to date information on his tour dates, music, and whereabouts…
