Dark Light

You know you have scored a winning production beat and groove on a track when you find yourself demonstrating a fully synchronized swagger to the music playing loud in your headphones while you fail miserably at doing your last minute Christmas shopping. On top of that you find yourself having it on constant repeat for the duration of said Christmas shopping spree in an another attempt at concentrating on things that should have mattered today. Ticking the last thing on that list. But, no, my head was elsewhere. More specifically, it was grooving to Barzo‘s funky number called “Goin’ Home”. A warm, fuzzy and subtly exotic track from latin america. A producer named Bartosz Brenes, from San José in Costa Rica who’s name doesn’t ring any bell today for us. But dear me. His music still makes me all warm inside. “Goin’ Home” is part of a recently released EP titled ‘Brio’ that you can download/name your price on Bandcamp here… Expect this guy to fly across digital shelves and borders for that matter. I can totally picture his music gracing some ads in the very near future.

Check out “Going’ Home” below, it’s very hard not to be moving after a few seconds. You’ll feel energized at the same time, like a dose of melatonin and vitamins do at that time of year in this biting cold for us Northerners.
