Dark Light

Listen-up folks! I think I’ve just found a brilliant new track that will undoubtedly soundtrack my personal summer vacations. It’s from Denmark and simply rocks.

From Copenhagen, Denmark comes a summer hit in the making. “The Future” by Josa Barck drops today and totally caught us off-guard. The incisive track blends 80s funk and remarkably channels everyone’s favourite David Bowie with touches of a hybrid between The Talking Heads and Prince, no less. Starting some time ago as a psych-pop artist. Josa Barck enlisted the help of Brian Batz on the production side after he heard the track for the first time and liked it so much he asked Josa to come right away to lay the foundation for this new string of releases.

Sometimes there’s only one right place for a song to go – Then your finest job as a songwriter is to just go along, and try not to fuck it up.

“We decided to just go along with it, and to go all-in – it’s the most clean cut track we made so far, and we are honestly having so much fun.”
