DARKSIDE is a side project from Nicolas Jaar and multi-instrumentalist Dave Harrington. With the stellar critics they gathered with their debut EP in 2011 and following this year with the popular “Random Access Memories Memories” endeavor, Jaar & Harrington are now promoting their “Psychic” outing on October 8 on Nicolas Jaar’s new imprint Other People.
We kind of really dig the “Paper Trails” track. It’s the kind of sound that has appeal for ears like mine, I feel so much more at ease. Bluesy… moody. We’ve added Golden Arrow so you get a rough idea of the rough, abbrasive sound we like to stay away from. But if the pair have more material like “Paper Trails” we’re a sold bunch. Psychic is out October 8. DARKSIDE will be performing at Pitchfork Music Festival in Paris on the first day (Friday). We hope to see you all there…!
