Dark Light

You gotta love his flow. You gotta love his face. Recommended by Pierre (a mate of mine getting deep into the blogging culture and discovering a whole world of new musical horizons at the same time, much to his dismay), Action Bronson is getting the feature on Sodwee.com with “It’s Me”. If like me you’re only discovering this dude and you’re a little ashamed to have been hiding under a rock for the last 3 years, here’s a little Wikifix just for your general knowledge, and to impress your friends :

Action Bronson – It’s Me (Prod. by Party Supplies)

Arian Asllani (born December 2, 1984), better known by his stage name Action Bronson, is an American rapper. His stage name derives from gangster William “Action” Jackson, and tough-guy actor Charles Bronson. Bronson has been quoted as saying his name also serves as a tribute to the song “Attraction Action Reaction” by San Francisco indie pop band The Aislers Set and that he sees Amy Linton as the Ol’ Dirty Bastard of indie pop.

Action was born and raised in Flushing, Queens. His parents are Albanian immigrants. Before entering the rap scene he was a respected fire-flame gourmet chef in New York City, and frequently raps about food in his songs. He hosts his own online cooking show entitled “Action in the Kitchen”. He has gained notoriety for lyrically and stylistically resembling rapper Ghostface Killah (with whom he collaborated, along with friend and fellow rapper Termanology, on a song called “Meteor Hammer” from the 2011 compilation album Legendary Weapons).
