Dark Light

London-based three piece R I T U A L has a forthcoming second EP titled ‘From The City To The Wilderness’ being released and today, the talented trio shares “Low Season”, the first public offering from that new EP.

‘Low Season’, is the first to be heard from R I T U A L’s forthcoming second EP ‘From The City To The Wilderness’ out later this year.

It’s a dark electronic R&B infused moment. An R&B void, influenced by and filled with some folk elements, a strained vocal effect, and sweat inducing phases along with a synth line that drives the song to a perfectly polished shine. It’s a special track you’ll dig on a hot southern texas evening. Lemonade is a bonus asset.

R I T U A L says of the new track :

‘Low Season’ is an important record for us – it’s about being down on your luck, knowing you’re going through things you shouldn’t have to – but accepting and celebrating that it’s a process and that patience is a virtue.

“Low Season” could of done with a drum loop à la 808 but that’s precisely why they purposely didn’t add one. So the song drags you in the sand and the result is very impressive. Especially in delivering emotions to its audience.
