Dark Light

Gap In The Clouds is about being in a depressed state for so long where your sky is full of clouds but that special someone makes a gap in those clouds and they can light up your world again. That special somebody can make you feel things like love and beauty which you thought you’d never feel again and pull you out of that deep funk you were in. Someone beautiful came into my life and showed me how to love again and that’s what the tune is for me. says Yellow Days on his newest effort “Gap In The Clouds”

Cue Mr. Tophat’s house jam ‘Trust Me’ featuring Robyn on vocals…It’s a match made in dancefloor heaven: Swedish house maestro Mr. Tophat and pop phenom Robyn have come together for ‘Trust Me,’ a three-track collection of dark disco and luscious grooves that only an inspired pairing such as this could have conceived.

With the amount of music I have to spin, I can only select a few to do write ups on – it’s a one man operation here, and my grey cells are dwindling by the hour – so here’s a little weekly bonus selection of music we haven’t had the time to cover but really do recommend nonetheless. These one liners are where I usually start my posts. It’s packed with the latest tracks, gems, and dancefloor goodness you’ve come to expect from Sodwee.com. Mohna) | ‘Mare’ is the title song of Christian Loeffler’s second studio album and follows in a similar vein to his self-released debut, ‘A Forest’. However a key difference is that while his first album was heavily sample-based, ‘Mare’ is much more organic, in which nearly every sound and every instrument is self-recorded. Many of the album’s ideas are based on field-recordings taken from the surroundings. On top of this, several microphones were set up in the room and left to run on for whole sessions. The microphones collected everything, from tapping, singing, playing, footsteps, as well as percussive elements.[/column] [/columns_row] [separator type=”thick”] [columns_row width=”two-thirds-and-third”] [column][/column] [column]Moriarty – Why Should I Care? | The song itself is Moriarty voicing his frustration at the general apathy that he sees around on a daily basis, in hopefully not too heavy handed a way… There are so many things going on that need to change and most people seem to think – ‘Why should I care?’ Something which he thinks he might be guilty of more often than he would like.[/column] [/columns_row] [separator type=”thick”] [columns_row width=”two-thirds-and-third”] [column][/column] [column]PLAZA – Youth | PLAZA are 4 late-teens from the industrial seaside town of Hartlepool, writing anthems that resonate the trials and tribulations of growing up; youthful romance, lukewarm beers and parmos.[/column] [/columns_row] [separator type=”thick”] [columns_row width=”two-thirds-and-third”] [column][/column] [column]Ayelle – No Harm | “It’s about trying to understand the reasoning and frame of mind of three different rapists, who probably don’t understand that they are rapists.
