Estère makes all of her own beats with her MPC (Lola). The two have only just recently met, but have already begun to embark on an exciting journey together. With “Culture Clash” she delivers some silky vocals on effective beats. Think of a mix between Jessie Ware and Solange, the whole package, raised in New Zealand for good measure. It’s soul, real home-made and DIY soul, but the beauty of it lies in the fact it doesn’t show a second… You’d better listen :
