Marika Hackman lives in Selborne, Hampshire and is influenced by various artists such as Laura Veirs, The Shins and Joni Mitchell. She plays multiple instruments and delivers a dark folky tunes. She is bound to be huge, we loved her track ‘Bath Is Black’ and ‘Retina Television’. It’s dark, haunting and miles away from what we’ve previously heard in that genre of traditionally “happy-folk” tunes and bands. Check her music out, follow her :
