Dark Light

From Paris, France comes somewhat of an UFO (ovni in French). Called Moodoïd this progressive psychedelic pop outfit is the brainchild of Pablo Padovani : who, I just only discovered, happens to be a friend on Facebook, God only knows… He also happens to be the guitarist of Melody’s Echo Chamber band, Clément Bourlier, Clémence Lasme and Alejandra Felmer form the rest of the band. Unhearthed by Les Inrocks Lab just a few weeks ago. They sing in french but that shouldn’t turn you off, in fact, quite the opposite. It’s multiple eargasms guaranteed in this indian summer. A plethora of sounds, and great soundscape.

Their first single “Je Suis La Montagne”, released back on June opens their new EP. Mixed in Australia by Kevin Parker, leader of Tame Impala (Who else ??). The Moodoïd EP is released on 9 September via Les Disques Entreprise.

Our fave track right now is “De La Folie Pure“, listen to the entire EP here and make sure you support them :

Gum Parker – Two Subarus

Sonically, Gum Parker leans into the scrappy, jangly corners of indie rock—think ‘90s college radio meets early-2000s DIY basement shows. It’s loose but intentional, catchy but unpolished, with just enough punk bite to keep things unpredictable. Gritty, hooky, and made to be played loud. Listen to Two Subarus via Sodwee.com
