We stumbled across this great duo on Facebook. Nonchalantly turning our plans for the night upside down. Grand Soleil just stormed our heat induced night with a promising first EP called “This Is A Good Day” released via Pain Surprises (also home of Jabberwocky, Jacques). The two brothers are born parisians and still live here. Both of them are pure french producers who will most likely export themselves very easily if they carry on delivering such cohesive tracks…

Grand Soleil, the stage name of Benjamin and Adrien, is a fun nod to Fatboy Slim‘s lyrics “Under The Big Bright Yellow Sun” in “Talking ’bout My Baby” and the subsequent influences they gathered from their contemporaries in diversified fields such as synth wave, new wave and electronic dub :
