The moment the driving melody of the synths came into play on Leeds based trio Shadowlark‘s latest single “See Each Other Right” (0:21 mark), it immediately recalled Hot Butter‘s “Popcorn” huge hit and for all the right reasons play here. Then Ellen Smith‘s vocals sunk in nicely in haunting style over Chris Quick’s jamming synths and James Warrender’s drums . The band has released 3 singles to date, and all were finely tuned and produced by Dan Austin who worked with Massive Attack, Doves and Biffy Clyro amongst others.
