Dark Light

Brand new project on the horizon for Melbourne (Australia) based Tim Ayre who’s going solo, drops a new jam titled “Laxx” and announces a new EP due out today on Kitsuné Musique.

Tim Ayre has some mileage in the music realm, especially down under and around the Southern Hemisphere. He used to be one half of Tim & Jean. With a new EP in the works, support from local and international outlets, Tim Ayre is sure to be busy in the coming months. The lad is influenced by the likes of the classic Beach Boys, Beatles and Flaming Lips but also relates to more modern acts such as the french electronic duo Daft Punk and other contemporaries like Stevie Wonder to name just a few. Bringing light, airy compositions to life along with on point lyrics and well delivered vocals.

Ayre dubbed his style as “luxurious pop” and we can’t help but think he nailed the term here providing exactly that in mixing easy guitars and solid amount of rhythm in the drums and bass lines as well as some more playful and delicate synth to round things off nicely.

Tim Ayre’s debut EP is to be released on Kitsuné Musique
