Dark Light

The Truth Is Dead is the perfect example of what happens when you put powerful people in the same room, make them jam together and just let their creative juices flowing unrestrained. St Francis Hotel are an Irish pair of producers based out of London. This latest single is released via Danger Mouse’s own label 30th Century Records.

With a golden roll-call of musicians and seasoned artists to pull genius from, St Francis Hotel have been on a very good run of quality single lately. Having the help of Gaz Coombes, Carla Azar from Autolux on drums (Jack White), and featuring Warpaint’s very own Theresa Wayman on vocals. The track shines with dark, trip-hoppy feels and drips effortlessness in the beats thanks to Carla know-how

’The Truth Is Dead‘ follows the duo’s critically acclaimed single ‘Liar, Liar, Liar (feat. Gaz Coombes)’ and is the latest to be taken from their upcoming debut album We Fall Together due out in January 2020. The forthcoming album includes collaborations with Portugal. The ManMax Rad, and Waterstrider, with more names to be announced.

The track’s title is probably pretty self-explanatory as to what it’s about. It feels like the kind of song that could only be written now. If you put the four of us in a room together four years ago, we probably couldn’t have conceived this song. Hopefully in a year’s time people won’t need to write songs with titles like ’The Truth Is Dead’”.
