DBFC is the result of Parisian dance lord, Dombrance teaming up with Mancunian David Shaw and creating something so special that they’d hate you called them an actual band (which technically they are. A four piece band in fact) but rather describe them as a actual club. They tastefully blend electronic, psych and shoegaze influences with a distinctive touch from both Paris and Manchester. It’s great news for Dombrance, whom we’ve been avid supporters from the get go. They have finally just signed with Different Recordings, also home to Crystal Castles, Crystal Fighters and Tiga to name just a few. The DBFC ‘club’ have today announced the release of “Staying Home” their latest single.

DBFC is so good at their music, that sparks of LCD Soundsystem, Jagwar Ma and The Beta Band come to mind straight away as you play the fabulous mixture of disco rhythms, post punk baselines and upbeat vocals. Add to that the underlaying of electronic elements true to french touch and you’ve got yourself the perfect sound that will no doubt cross many borders in the months to come. “A la Air, Phoenix or even Daft Punk to a certain extent.
