The Ghost of Helags hail from Scandinavia with a unique blend of electronica-pop, they’re now based out of Berlin in Germany. We had covered way back when with the brilliant track “212” via Warsaw Recordings and their equally impressive ‘Shibuya’ EP. A haunting debut that sounded so good we had very high-expectations for them.
Today, The Ghost Of Helags deliver a stunning new track called “Anthem (We Came From The Stars)” part of the double A-side single release with their previous track “Wildest Dreams”. Notably, the duo pounds down with the trance edge of their debut to force they way through with a catchy melody and equally mesmerizing vocal lead that honors their adoptive hometown of Berlin in the classiest of ways.
The duo had met on Mountain of Helags and formed the band. She sings and he produces. They’re very introverted, quiet and shy, their names unknown. You won’t see them communicate on stage either. They’d rather offer a full immersive show with dance and body language as the main means of exchange. The Ghost of Helags have just signed to KOBALT’s distributor AWAL.
