We’ve been keeping a close ear at what Anna Altar aka Nicole Mormann has been pushing ever since Josh over at Crack In The Road introduced her to us. Anna had then just dropped her debut track “Like You”. A brilliant, powerful track you really need to be spinning right now (see further down in PASSPORT for player).

Nicole Mormann hails from the sunshine state of California. Based out of Los Angeles to be precise. She has dabbled in a few projects prior to embarking on her solo endeavors and creating her new persona named Anna Altar back in the spring of 2017. Her influences include Wolf Alice, Fleetwood Mac, BROODS, M83, Talos and Marika Hackman. A blend of dark indie pop that is always on point it seems. Nicole also has her forthcoming EP “The Wall of Great Feeling” due for release by the summer.

Today Anna Altar releases her brand new track “Wild Card” after reaching out to us for feedback. Which we happily gave after initially declining the track. We listened to the following version and thought it turned out way better. So we decided to revert the trajectory here and introduce her music to you dear readers.

The track is “a 80’s disco anthem of sorts. Energetic in nature” as its title implies: Wild Card”. “Rebellious, complex, and encouraging, ‘Wild Card’ is the perfect antithesis to ‘Like You’.” But we’d like to make up your impressions and react upon them down in the comment section below.

In the meantime, you could follow Anna Altar on socials and get up to speed with her musings, maybe listen to her other tracks and keep a close eye on her future EP due out this summer.
