We like to keep a close eye on talented outfits out there. So touching base with Icelandic electronic dream-pop trio Vök and hearing their newest material titled “Autopilot” since their phenomenal 2017 album “Figure” was indeed very welcome. Also worth listening was the equally engaging “Circles” EP to which Sophie — our in-house Interviewer — managed to ask slide a few questions to the band whilst they were on tour through Europe back in the day was also a highlight you should definitely read…
Their latest effort was produced by James Earp, also known for his work around artists like Little Hours, Nina Nesbitt and Shells bring an ever-expanding consistency and sharp know-how to their weightless, yet obscure electronica sound signature. Like threading a needle of synth melodies through a pristine vocal canvas that was made to perfect size for Margrét Ran ethereal timbre. “Autopilot” is a track we’ve thoroughly enjoyed unfold. Listen below to the beautiful track, and get absolutely excited for Vök’s forthcoming (yet untitled) album.
