Dark Light

If you’ve read or heard Drinker before, it wasn’t a desert mirage or lack of H2O running through your body. It wasn’t the high temperatures or increasingly unbearable humidity that continues to plague a good chunk of continental Europe. Nope. None of that. It’s because Jon (interviewer, and writer here at Sodwee.com) had the pleasure of chatting with Ariel and Aaron from the duo LA/NYC downtempo-psych pop duo a while back when we became acquainted with their brilliance.

Ran away from you / Don’t know a good thing / I have a need to detach / Get lost in the details / Search for something new

Fast-forward to the present day. Drinker is about to embark in the second half of 2018 with plenty to share regarding new material as they get prepped and ready to share their a full-length titled “Fragments” with the world after their quality 2017 debut EP “Happy Accident”.

How fleeting and elusive to feel fulfilled in such a strange world. When you search for it in another person and look at what you find, it never feels like what you expected, so you search for something new. You look inside, you think you find it, but when you come back out, it just fades into the noise around you.

Drinker‘s upcoming full length “Fragments” effortlessly glides and gently touches upon experiences in our lives as individuals scattered across our existence faced with the neverending difficulty of piecing it back together. The nine-track album promises awesomeness in scoped out new sounds and the clean, an electronically pleasing sound that we’ve come to love from the duo. The record is due out in 2019. Hold tight.
