Cue in twenty-something Seoul, South Korea based singer-songwriter rapper house and techno producer extraordinaire turned overnight internet sensation 박혜진 Park Hye Jin with her debut EP “IF U WANT IT” out on Melbourne’s very own Clipp.art record label. A label and creative outlet that promises an ongoing series of weekly/bi-weekly digital cuts – complemented by the occasional limited edition split artist 12 inch and dance party.
It seems Clipp.art have struck gold in recent days with their latest release with 박혜진 Park Hye Jin as she is topping multiple charts around the globe including the coveted Hype Machine’s most popular and Reddit’s r/listentothis group. A physical edition of the EP is due to be coming out soon… Keep an eye out.
박혜진 Park Hye Jin produces and sings every vocal on the entire EP. The 24 year-old also performs in Korean & English and by doing so introduces us to the mesmerizing world K-house that is about to become ‘the next big thing’ in 2019. If k-pop was any precedent of how things tend to take-off when South Korean artists take things into their own hands. 박혜진 Park Hye Jin is one of those prime examples of South Korean music exports that will spearhead the new wave of artist going beyond their borders.
