Jungle – Keep Moving
After a year spent in the studio putting the final touches on this new album "Loving In Stereo". The British duo JUNGLE has announced a release date slotted for mid-august 2021 (right bang in the middle of summer) which should contempt many of you out there.
Coco O. – Soldier
We discovered Coco O's solo material back in 2019 amidst a low in our social health and now that I think about it, her tracks made me feel much, much better. Indeed, you will have heard of Coco O. before. She’s one half of Quadron, a danish duo that released a few albums and rose to fame by appearing on the Great Gatsby movie Original Soundtrack.
Sal Dulu – Zumo (ft. Fly Anakin)
Sal Dulu is probably the stand-out artist of this start of the year. Having soundtracked the darkest times of our respective lockdown blues and at the same managed to get us through most of it without any harm. Listen to his latest "Zumo" featuring Fly Anakin on vocals before he drops "Xompulse" LP at the end of the week...
Black Country, New Road – Track X
Black Country, New Road is a British post-rock band formed in 2018. A 7-piece ensemble with each of them adding a "je-ne-sais-quoi" element to the band that is multiplied when they play together. Something that just clicks when they start jamming.
Rare Monk – Silverlake
Today as the full-length album is released globally. We'd like to bring your attention to one of our favorite tracks of the collection. Titled "Silverlake" the last single makes great use of claps and sharp sounding guitar lines as well as anthemic lyrics for good measure.
Psymon Spine – Channels
Only today did I find out about Brooklyn, New-York based outfit Psymon Spine and their psychedelic electronic pop sound that enthusiastically drips of melodic anthems and deeper grooves. Superbly packaged in a unique, nerdy kind of final product.
QuinzeQuinze – BOLERO
Here is a mesmerizing new video treatment by Uncanny Valley Studio to illustrate the equally amazing track titled "BOLERO" off Franco-Tahitian collective QuinzeQuinze's forthcoming debut EP "Le Jeune". Another beautifully rendered vision involving fish of many kinds and walks of life.
Steven Robertson – Roof Song
As a last effort, I walked into The Bitter End in Greenwich Village, where a guy in sweatpants and socks was putting on a stadium-sized show for a modest bar crowd. The guy was Steven Robertson, and I still think about that show all the time.
seeyousoon – Steamy
Frankly, this is just too good to ignore. Seeyousoon is already generating some much-deserved buzz, but you still have a quickly shrinking chance to get in on the ground floor. Get this one spinning.
